As an organisation within the United Kingdom, our group and parent association, the WW2 LHA, are governed by the Health and Safety At Work, etc. Act 1974. This requires that we take all reasonable measures to ensure that any persons affected by the group or its actions are sufficiently protected against any hazards and the risk of those hazards being realised is minimised.
In order to do this, the WW2 LHA has a Health and Safety Policy, Risk Assessment and Guidelines in place. These cover many of the generic activities that we undertake and are the principal regulations to which we adhere.
However, these are at a parent level and therefore may not cover all activities that our group undertakes. It has been necessary to complete unit level assessments of the activities and the associated risks.
